Yesterday marked the inauguration ceremony of the new leadership team of the Faculty of Law for the 2025–2028 term.
During the ceremony, the new deans were appointed,marking the beginning of a new chapter in the governance of Católica Global School Of Law.
Professors Benedita Menezes Queiroz and Giovanni De Gregorio have been appointed as the new Vice Deans of Católica Global School of Law, joining the leadership team to further strengthen the Faculty’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and internationalization in legal education and research.
Professor Benedita Menezes Queiroz expressed her enthusiasm for the new role:
"I’m thrilled to step into the role of Vice Dean for Education at CGSL, working together with our students and colleagues on a shared and innovative learning journey."
Professor Giovanni De Gregorio also shared his vision for the years ahead:
"In my role as Vice Dean for Research and Internationalisation at Católica Global School of Law, I am committed to expand our research networks and promote international collaboration."
The ceremony also confirmed the renewed mandates of:
- Dean of the Faculty of Law: Professor José Lobo Moutinho
- Dean of the Lisbon School of Law: Professor Ana Taveira da Fonseca
- Dean of the Católica Global School of Law: Professor Miguel Poiares Maduro
- Dean of the Porto School Of Law: Professor Marta Portocarrero
The event concluded with the formal inauguration of the members of the School Councils, reaffirming the Faculty of Law and Católica Global School of Law’s mission to promote academic excellence and global leadership in legal education.
