Besides the opportunity of spending a semester abroad, LL.M. students at Católica Global School of Law also have the chance of extending their studies for another year, in order to obtain a second LL.M. diploma from one of the following partner schools.
WHY A DOUBLE DEGREE
Double Degree programmes allow students to take advantage of the resources and networking opportunities of two top law schools.
After completing the curricular year of the LL.M. at Católica Global School of Law, students are able to further specialize in a particular field of global law, by attending courses and benefiting from the bibliographic resources at one of our partner law schools. Upon successful completion of the requirements at both institutions, students will receive a double LL.M. diploma. In the case of US law schools, this additional degree will also allow students (complying with certain requirements in the LL.M.) to sit for the New York Bar exam.
In order to apply for a Double Degree, students should first apply and complete one of our LL.M. programmes. During their year in Lisbon, interested students will be able to apply for the Double Degree, under the agreements that Católica Global School of Law maintains with the following schools:
- King’s College London – The Dickson Poon School of Law
- Fribourg Law Faculty
- Cornell Law School
- University of Michigan Law School
- University of Illinois College of Law
- Boston University School of Law
