At Católica Global School of Law, we are committed to promoting academic excellence and equal opportunities for talented students. Scholarships play a key role in supporting this mission by making advanced legal education more accessible.

The following scholarships and funding opportunities are available for the upcoming academic year.

Gov.pt – Portuguese Government Scholarships

The Portuguese government manages gov.pt, the national portal for public services and education support. Any scholarship listed there is fully state-recognized and reliable, ensuring that students have access to dependable funding opportunities.

Applicants interested in public funding are strongly encouraged to explore gov.pt directly. For personalized assistance in understanding or applying to these scholarships, students may also contact our Admissions Office at catolica.law.sede@ucp.pt.

CADOS / Amélia de Mello Foundation Scholarships

In partnership with the Católica Doctoral School (CADOS) and the Amélia de Mello Foundation, a limited number of scholarships are available for outstanding students pursuing Master’s or Doctoral programmes.

Funding by Fundação José Neves

Católica Global School of Law LL.M. programmes are eligible for funding under Fundação José Neves’ (FJN) Income Share Agreement model, aimed at candidates who reside in Portugal and hold Portuguese citizenship.

This partnership enables students to have their tuition fees fully covered by FJN. Under the Income Share Agreement model, students will only have to reimburse the fees after entering the job market and if they reach a pre-determined level of income. If, for any reason, the scholarship holder sees his or her income fall below that level, FJN will adjust the reimbursement amounts, so that they are always in line with the holder’s financial abilities.

The application process is entirely online-based. To apply, students will need to access ISA FJN’s portal, select ‘Universidade Católica Portuguesa’ and look up for Católica Global School of Law’s LL.M. programmes.

Funding by Católica Global School of Law

Funding options may be granted on the basis of a combination of need and merit. In order to benefit from funding, you must apply through as a regular student, including an additional letter describing your particular circumstances.
