VdA Chair in Digital Governance

Overview

Católica Global School of Law and Católica Lisbon School of Law are proud to present the VdA Chair in Digital Governance.

VdA Chair in Digital Governance

The Chair signals Católica’s strategic focus on the crossroads between Law, Technology and Digital Economy, as well as on the internationalization of legal education and research. The Chair arises as a product of the close collaboration between Católica and Vieira de Almeida, reinforcing the connection of the schools to professional practice, and enhancing the employability opportunities of the students.

In the words of Rector Isabel Capeloa Gil, “the VdA Chair in Digital Governance (…) substantiates the School’s drive to partner with external stakeholders to attract global talent. In an increasingly competitive environment for companies and universities alike, the partnership with Vieira de Almeida reflects a joint ambition to train lawyers according to the best standards and create value on a supranational scale.”

The VdA Chair in Digital Governance was attributed to Professor Miguel Poiares Maduro, an international reference in the teaching and research of law, namely EU Law and Constitutional Law, and current Dean of Católica Global School of Law.
