Software Law

2 ECTS / 12h / English

The aim of this course is to present the legal framework of software both from a static (software as a thing) and dynamic (buying and selling software) perspective. We will consider both US and EU sources and conclude with a two-part practical workshop focusing on software contract negotiations and open-source due diligence. It is expected that students will become equipped with a solid understanding of the fundamental legal questions associated with software, its use and market.
