Católica students attend the 2023 Philip C. Jessup International Rounds in Washington

For the first time ever, a team of students from Universidade Católica Portuguesa is representing Portugal in the international rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.  

This is the world's largest and most prestigious moot court, gathering over 700 law schools from 100 different countries and jurisdictions. The 2023 International Rounds will take place in Washington DC, until April 15, the day of the final round. 

On March 11, Católica won the national rounds of the competition. Católica's team is composed by two LL.M. students from Católica Global School of LawJulian Schramm and Sophie Roth, and two undergraduate students from Católica | Lisbon School of LawMarta Cansado and Rodrigo Ferreira. The speakers were assisted by two other LL.M. students: Hanna Herzog, as Of Counsel, and Jitka Rutrlova, as Adviser. The team was coached by Professor Ricardo Rodrigues de Oliveira, who specializes in EU and International Law.
