Católica represented at Law Schools Global League meeting in Edinburgh

From February 17 to 19, Católica Global School of Law was represented in the latest meeting of the Law Schools Global League (LSGL), hosted by Edinburgh Law School. Bringing together leading law schools from around the world, the event fostered discussions on global legal education and collaboration under the theme “Global Law, Community, and Solidarity”.

The LSGL Academic Conference, which took place on February 18, featured panels addressing key global legal issues around the guiding concepts of Community and Solidarity. The Deans’ Meeting, held on February 19, focused on LSGL’s ongoing initiatives. Our Executive Dean and LSGL Director of Research, Professor Tito Rendas, provided updates on the League’s initiatives, such as the LSGL Research Projects and the LSGL Research Award.

A highlight of the meeting was the Global Legal Tech Competition, where innovative legal technology startups showcased their work. The keynote lecture on “LegalTech and Global AI Regulation” was delivered by Professor Lilian Edwards (University of Newcastle), followed by presentations from emerging LegalTech ventures.

Católica Global School of Law remains an active member of LSGL, contributing to its mission of promoting innovative legal education and global engagement.
