Under the International Criminal Law course, our students Beatriz Bravo, João Tomás, Mafalda Oliveira and Francisca recently participated in the 124th session of the Working Group on Enforced and Involuntary Disappearances.

The invitation came from Professor Aua Baldé who has been a member of the OHCHR Working Group since November 2020. The main goal was giving them the opportunity to analyze and process cases to see, as well as to know in practice the issues of human rights.

All work was carried out in English and specific cases are subject to the principle of confidentiality, as they are very sensitive issues.

These students will participate in the next work meetings of the Group (September and February) in order to consolidate their experience.
