Fintech

2 ECTS / 12h / English

New technology tools and devices (cryptocurrencies, new payment methods, online lending, blockchain) have impacted the world of financial transactions. To some extent, fintech operations affect the way financial transactions are operated but without taking due regard to the complex legal framework applicable to these transactions. From the perspective of public policy-makers, these developments in fintech also pose a new challenge to how the law can reach these social phenomena. This seminar aims to provide students with insights into the challenges and possible legal approaches to fintech in general.
