On 10 March at 11:30 pm (Lisbon time), Católica Global School of Law and the Católica Research Centre for the Future of Law will host an event on 'Regulating Artificial Intelligence'. Professor Lilian Edwards (Newcastle University) will deliver a lecture on AI regulation in conversation with Professor Giovanni De Gregorio (PLMJ Chair in Law and Technology, Católica Global School of Law).
Lilian Edwards has taught information technology law, e-commerce law, privacy law and Internet law at the undergraduate and postgraduate level since 1996 and has been involved with law and artificial intelligence since 1985. She is the editor and primary author of 'Law, Policy and the Internet', one of the leading textbooks in Internet law (Hart, 2018).
In her research on AI, Professor Lilian Edwards provided an expert opinion on the AI Act in Europe working for the Ada Lovelace Institute.
The entrance to the event is free and will take place at the Lisbon campus of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Room 424 (2nd floor of the Library Building).
