Tracy Maguze a is researcher in financial sector public policy and regulation, most recently at The Pew Charitable Trusts’ Housing Policy Initiative in Washington, DC, where she developed and conducted original research and data backed lobbying on financial arrangements to improve access to small mortgages for low-cost housing, make non-mortgage financing arrangements safer for homebuyers, and revising land-use regulations in the United States. Prior to joining Pew, she worked in various inhouse legal and advisory roles in the financial sector, and law and development consulting for regional and international development institutions in Southern Africa. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zimbabwe, a Master’s in Corporate Law from the University of Edinburgh, and a Ph.D. in Law from the Católica Global School of Law. Her research interests lie at the intersection of law, finance and economics.
