Our Dean, Professor Miguel Poiares Maduro, and Executive Dean, Professor Tito Rendas, are set to represent Católica Global School of Law at the 2024 Winter Meeting of the Law Schools Global League (LSGL), which is taking place at Kyushu University, in Fukuoka, Japan. The Law Schools Global League is a collaborative network that brings together forward-thinking law schools from around the globe, providing a platform for member institutions to exchange ideas, explore new teaching methodologies, and address the challenges facing the legal profession in the 21st century. The League’s past meetings have been hosted by institutions like King’s College London (UK), Strathmore University (Kenya), FGV Rio and São Paulo (Brazil), and IE Law School (Spain).

As an active member of this prestigious consortium, Católica is poised to contribute to discussions on the future of legal education and share insights with some of the most innovative law schools worldwide. This year’s Winter Meeting will feature a diverse range of sessions, including an academic conference on Global Legal Education, where Professor Tito Rendas will be moderating a panel on the use of new technologies like ChatGPT in legal teaching and learning.

Follow LSGL’s official channels for updates and highlights from the Winter Meeting, as our delegation aims to bring back valuable insights that will enhance the educational experience for our students.
