On April 30, Católica Global School of Law held its Spring Cocktail, a special evening that brought together alumni, current students, and faculty for a memorable reunion. There was laughter, conversation, and a genuine sense of connection in the air — a true celebration of what makes the CGSL community so special.
Earlier that day, we welcomed back several accomplished alumni for a special panel during Professor Miguel Poiares Maduro’s Leadership class. The session gave current students a chance to hear first-hand about the many directions a CGSL degree can take them.
Our guest speakers — Rita Resende Soares (a former partner at a fintech firm and now founder of her own consultancy), Luís Moitinho de Almeida (Partner at PLMJ, one of Portugal’s leading law firms), and Vasco Malta (Head of Office at IOM Portugal) — each shared candid reflections on their career paths, the decisions that shaped them, as well as on how their time at CGSL continues to influence their work today. Their stories were not only inspiring but full of practical insights for students preparing to launch their own careers.
Together, the Alumni Panel and Spring Cocktail made for a day that captured the very best of CGSL: a community that’s ambitious and deeply connected — in Lisbon and around the world.
