The four campuses of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) have gathered this year to promote the first national solidarity campaign to celebrate Christmas. The campaign began on November 24 and will end on December 14.
Under the motto "Solidarity@Católica - Together for a Cause", this campaign invites students, professors and staff members to participate in collecting food and other goods at the four campuses of the UCP or through donations made directly to partner institutions.
The institutions supported by this initiative are partner institutions of our University within the scope of its social responsibility strategy, namely, Town Council of São Domingos de Benfica - Lisbon; Refood Foz do Douro and Banco Alimentar Porto; Conferência Vicentina C.C Braga and Câmara Municipal de Viseu.
At the Catholic University in Lisbon, you can contribute by donating non-perishable food products (rice, pasta, canned food, cookies, grain, beans, olive oil, oil, milk, ...), baby goods (NAN and Aptamil 1.2 and 3 powdered milk, disposable diapers from no. 0 to no. 6, baby hygiene products, porridge for 4 and 6 months, pacifiers and bottles, breastfeeding discs), or with a financial donation (click here for further information).
The collection points are the entrance halls Buildings 3 and 5, the Catholic Solidarity Space (next to the stationary and paper shop in the John Paul II Library Building, floor 0) or the Chaplaincy.
The first national solidarity campaign of the Catholic University is hosted within the framework of the Laudato si’ Year and is strongly supported by all Academic Units and has the massive support of all the Academic Units and Student Associations of the UCP.
