LL.M. Course Selection | 2023/2024

Please choose your courses from the list below. Before making your selection, please re-read the following rules carefully.

  • LEGC students must enroll in at least 60 ECTS, including a minimum of 50 ECTS from the LEGC curriculum.
  • IBL students must enroll in at least 60 ECTS, including a minimum of 50 ECTS from the IBL curriculum.
  • LDE students must enroll in at least 60 ECTS, including a minimum of 30 ECTS from the LDE curriculum.

  • The Skills Seminars are part of the curriculum of the three programmes, and they all count towards the minimum numbers referred above.

  • Some courses are part of the curriculum of more than one LL.M. programme. If you are enrolling in one such course, please select it only once (example: If you are an IBL student and you are interested in taking the ‘Digital Contracts’ course, which is part of both the IBL and LDE curricula, select only the course in the IBL list).

  • The ‘Tech for Lawyers’ Bootcamp is open only for LDE students, for whom it is mandatory. If you are an LDE student, please select it in the list below nonetheless.

  • As long as you respect the minimum requirements of your programme, you are free to choose as many courses from the other programmes as you wish (there is no maximum number of credits you can take).

  • For operational reasons, some Skills Seminars have a maximum number of students, in which case registration will be on a first-come-first-served basis. This is the case of the following seminars:
            - Design Thinking for Lawyers | 25 students
            - Legal Automation and Engineering | 25 students
            - Negotiation | 25 students

  • If you enroll in a given course, you will be required to attend the course’s classes, under penalty of having your absence recorded in the final LL.M. transcript. You are nonetheless free not to take the exam in the end (in which case you will naturally not obtain the credits).

  • Before the start of each term, there will be a period in which you will be able to enroll in additional courses. However, you will not be allowed to unenroll. The periods for extra enrolment are as follows:
            - Term 1: 11 to 15 September
            - Term 2: 18 to 22 December
            - Term 3: 18 to 22 March

  • If you are interested in obtaining the MTL degree, you have to select at least 30 ECTS from the MTL curriculum (you will find the indication “(MTL)” after the name of the course), as well as the Legal Research seminar.

  • Finally, make sure to write down or take a screenshot of your selection, as there have been occasional reports of the application failing to automatically send the selection to the students.
