António Leitão Amaro

Lecturer

António Leitão Amaro is a Professor at Católica Global School of Law. He was Marshall Memorial Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, Scholar at The Europaeum, Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School, and Invited Assistant Professor at the University of Lisbon.
He holds a Masters of Law (LL.M) from Harvard Law School, a Graduate degree in Economics and a Bachelor degree (licenciatura) in Law from the University of Lisbon, and Graduate degree in Regulation and Antitrust from the University of Coimbra. He is completing his doctoral degree at Universidade Catolica Portuguesa, researching on Institutional Independence in Monetary and Fiscal Policies.
António Leitão Amaro served as Secretary of State for Local Government in the national Government of Portugal, Elected Member of the Portuguese Parliament (Assembleia da República), Vice-President of his Parliamentary Group, and he serves as President of the Municipal Council (Assembleia Municipal) of Tondela, Portugal.
