Católica Global School of Law marked a significant milestone as it celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2023 on June 26. The Graduation Ceremony was a joyous occasion, honoring the dedication and hard work of the LL.M. graduates throughout their year at Católica. Faculty members, proud families and friends gathered to celebrate the achievements of this outstanding class.

One of the standout features of the Class of 2023 was its unprecedented diversity, gathering 15 different nationalities. The class represented an exceptional blend of cultures, languages, and legal traditions, creating a truly enriching academic environment.

Beyond their exceptional diversity, the Class of 2023 demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for moot court competitions. During their time at Católica, the graduates secured victories in the Comparative Law in Action competition, in Madrid, and in the national rounds of the Jessup International Law Moot Court, representing Portugal in the final rounds in Washington DC. These triumphs not only brought honor to the students involved but also enhanced Católica’s reputation worldwide, solidifying its standing as a leading institution for legal education.

During the Graduation Ceremony, Dean Miguel Poiares Maduro addressed the LL.M. graduates, highlighting their accomplishments and commending their commitment during the academic year. As he bid farewell to this exceptional class, Dean Maduro asked them not to forget to pursue happiness. ‘Your happiness’, he said, ‘is also the measure of our success as a school’.
