On 24 June 2026, Católica Global School of Law hosted its LL.M. Graduation Ceremony, bringing together graduates, their families and friends, faculty members and staff to celebrate the successful conclusion of an extraordinary academic journey.
This year’s graduating class reflected the truly global character of CGSL, with students from 30 nationalities, including China, Kenya, Kosovo, Bolivia and the Philippines. Their diverse perspectives and experiences enriched the classroom and strengthened the international community that defines the CGSL experience.
The ceremony also marked the first LL.M. graduation under CGSL’s new deanship. Dean Miguel Poiares Maduro was joined by Vice-Deans Professor Benedita Menezes Queiroz and Professor Giovanni De Gregorio to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the school.
A highlight of the ceremony was the students’ speeches, delivered by representatives of each of the school’s four LL.M. programmes. Božo Čović (IBL), Steven Massiya (LDE), Charlotte Franke (LEGC) and Pedro Cortês (RC) shared reflections on their academic journey, the friendships they built and the experiences that shaped their year at CGSL.
As diplomas were awarded, the Class of 2026 celebrated not only an important academic achievement but also the lasting connections formed within the CGSL community. The ceremony marked the end of a memorable year and the beginning of promising new journeys around the world. In his closing remarks, Dean Miguel Poiares Maduro encouraged graduates to embrace the future with confidence and purpose, leaving them with a simple but heartfelt message: “Go on and be happy.”
Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
